HIT THE GYM

MY FIRST STEPS TO A FITTER AND HEALTHIER BODY #FitWithFeps

If you have been following my fun and games on Instagram (@FernandaZorzal) you will already know that I started a new diet last Monday – and so I thought that I might share a little dietary and nutritional advice with you – My first steps to a fitter and healthier body.

I know some of you will take one look at me – an English size 4 to 6 – and be wondering why someone like me with a slim and petite frame needs a dietary plan? Well, let me explain why.

I was always the smallest in my class when I was younger – and now that I have “grown up” nothing much has changed to be honest. Don’t get me wrong, I love being who I am, and I am very lucky that I am able to eat as much as I want and not put on any weight.

But last week I decided to change my eating habits because I realised that I have been going to the gym for years but that my body hasn’t changed much despite all the training that I do. As any good trainer will tell you, “a great body is made in the kitchen: and is down to 80% nutrition and 20% training.”

Nutritionist

So, I went to a nutritionist couple of weeks ago and she put me on a diet where I will have to eat 6 times a day, as well as taking a few vitamins and supplements to help my body maintain the muscle that I put on in the gym. As part of her plan, I will have to consume 2000 calories and drink at least 1.5 littles of water each day!!

I would certainly advice you to go to a nutritionist as well because we are all different, and what works for one person, may not necessarily suit another. I always thought that by going on fitness websites and by reading health and lifestyle magazines, that I would get the correct information – when in reality, I wasn’t at all. But now, thanks to the correct professional advice, I know what I should eat and what I should stay away from!

Instagram Posts

Keep your eyes open for my posts on Instagram, as I will be sharing with you some useful tips from my journey, as I strive to get a bigger booty and a more toned physique!

My Supplements

I would advise you to always consult a qualified nutritionist first about your dietary and vitamin intake – because, like I said, we are all made a little differently. However, the supplements that I have been recommended for my diet are as follows:

BCAA Reduces muscle fatigue, speeds recovery, decreases the loss of other amino acids from muscles during exercise.

GLUTAMINE Studies have shown that L-Glutamine supplements can minimize the breakdown of muscle and improve protein metabolism.

WHEY PROTEIN ISOLATE Contributes to growth and maintenance of muscle mass

SOLGAR VITAMIN D1000IU – Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin that is required to promote calcium absorption, which helps to maintain healthy bones and teeth.

Let me know any questions below.

Lots of love,

Fernanda x
